A private school sought an acoustic solution for their multipurpose hall — used for sports, assemblies, performances, exams, and community events. The hall’s high ceilings and reflective surfaces created severe echo issues, making activities extremely loud and uncomfortable.
They needed safe, non-toxic, impact-resistant acoustic panels suitable for children and high-activity environments.

1. Extreme Echo & Noise Amplification
The original RT60 measurement was:
- 4.8–5.5 seconds, extremely high
- causing loudness fatigue
- teachers struggling to communicate
- unbearable noise during sports

Our Acoustic Assessment
We performed full RT60 readings at different positions. Results confirmed:
- poor clarity
- long decay times
- severe flutter echo
- uneven sound distribution
High ceilings and hard floors multiplied the effect.
Our Solution & Design
1. Polyester Fibre Panels (Eco-Friendly & Safe)
We selected high-density polyester panels for their:

- suitability for gyms and halls
2. Wall Panels Installed at Safe Heights
Panels were mounted along:
- long reflective side walls
- top halves of the hall perimeter
- rear wall near the stage/performance area
3. Acoustic Ceiling Baffles
Vertical baffles drastically improved mid-frequency absorption — essential for sports and speech clarity.
4. Child-Safe Design
All panels were installed:
- flush-mounted
- with concealed fixings
- using durable, washable surfaces
